4th QTR 2019 | 4 835 File The 835 File adheres to a secure set of electronic transmission standards used to ensure the protection of private health information. The first three characters in the file mean the following: y y ISA: File has not been processed. y y RX#: File was processed via the pharmacy system only. y y HME: File was processed via the HME system only. y y ###: File was processed through pharmacy system first and then the HME system. y y #$#: File was processed via the HME system first and then the pharmacy system. SMS/Email Notifications Mobility equals convenience, and convenience often helps patients be more adherent to their medication regimens. To use these notifications in NRx, you must first be authorized. To enroll, email pharmacyservices@smithtech.com. Then, the following must be set up in the system: 1. Go to Store Control > Store Level Options > System . 2. Select Automate Batching . 3. Navigate to Store Control > Store Level Options > Doctor Fax/IVR . 4. Populate the following fields: y y Call Out Version y y Number of Attempts to Call Out y y Minutes Between Call Out Attempts y y Minutes Between Fill and First Call y y Days Between Fill and Last Call y y Send Non-IVR/Web Rxs to Call Out y y Enable Text/Email to Call Out y y Hours of Operation for Call Out 5. On the Patient Record, select Pickup as the Delivery Method. 6. Click Edit beside the Contact Method field. Choose Email , Phone , and/or Text . As your pharmacy processes prescriptions, call outs will automatically go into the Call Out Queue. Monographs for Compounds To print a patient education monograph when filling a compound prescription, the Print PEM box on the Compound Drug Record must be selected for each one. The Print Monograph option must also be selected on the Filling Options screen.
